Flexible use for the future

In this project, the client's far-sighted wish for flexible future use was built with the fully accessible basement separate from the ground floor. The two floors are linked by the same stairwell. Whilst the basement was initially planned as a private space for the growing children, a more than generous living space can be created on the ground floor with a large opening in the ceiling and gallery.

Post and beam façade includes the basement

As the basement is dug into the earth of the sloping hillside, it was built with special double-walled cellar components. The resulting flexible living and working space blends perfectly into the overall look of the house with its floor to ceiling glass and timber-frame façade. An intelligent solution that assures the long-term usability of the house.
