HUF HAUS Celebrates 30 Years of Success in Great Britain

Special anniversary celebration at the show home in Weybridge, Surrey.

HUF HAUS, the family-owned pioneer of modern timber-and-glass architecture, is celebrating 30 successful years in Great Britain. Since commencing its first UK project in 1995, the company has built more than 300 architect-designed homes and received numerous awards for its state-of-the-art, energy-efficient designs.
To mark this milestone, HUF HAUS welcomed 300 guests to a special anniversary celebration at the “Riverview” show home in Weybridge, Surrey.

A Vision Ahead of Its Time
When HUF HAUS entered the British market three decades ago, modern housing concepts were still rare. New builds were typically delivered by large construction companies, and individually designed homes were the exception. Many clients were hesitant to take on the organisational challenges of a bespoke building project.

HUF HAUS offered a unique alternative:
architecture, planning, manufacturing and construction – all from a single source.
This turnkey philosophy remains at the heart of the company today, giving clients confidence through transparent processes, a coordinated team of experts and outstanding precision in every detail.

“Our company has been a true family business for 113 years – and we are all the more delighted to celebrate 30 years of HUF HAUS in Great Britain,” says Christian Huf, Managing Partner at HUF HAUS. “The driving force behind these successful years is my uncle and architect, Peter Huf. We owe him our deepest gratitude. After a challenging start in this beautiful country, HUF HAUS has come a long way and today stands for turnkey service and visionary, sustainable architecture.”

Peter Huf reflects on the early days:
“People often asked, ‘Why Great Britain – a country with such conservative architecture?’ The answer was clear to me: the English countryside is magnificent. I was convinced that the spectacular natural landscape and HUF houses belonged together.”

To celebrate its 30-year presence in Great Britain, HUF HAUS is hosting a programme of events and open-house experiences at the Weybridge show home. Visitors can:

  • explore the evolution of HUF HAUS design
  • discover the latest smart-home innovations
  • learn about the future of sustainable luxury living
