A HUF house is built for generations; designed to evolve.
The HUF HAUS department ServiceART offer tailor-made solutions to meet the changing needs of a HUF family home, beyond the warranty period.
In 2025, the experienced team achieved around 700 projects for clients across Europe – including conversions, refurbishments and technical upgrades.
Through woodcraft, energy-efficient renovations, technical concepts and sophisticated extensions, ServiceART deliver modern solutions that expand functionality whilst highlighting the timeless character and sustainability of a HUF home.
Based at the HUF HAUS head office in Germany, ServiceART specialists project manage each installation from conception to completion. Clients can be assured of a smooth, stress-free process while ServiceART carefully schedule and coordinate trades and responsibilities, ensuring the high quality and distinctive HUF values are maintained.
ServiceART versatility illustrated in these two current projects
In the mountainous region of Taunus, Germany, a HUF bungalow has been expanded with a generous mezzanine from the ground floor. The additional living space of nearly 15 m² now serves as a bright, contemporary home office that can also be used as a guest room.

“Because of the wide pitched roof we had plenty of height – so the idea emerged to insert an additional level in that space. The open gallery is not only a functional gain, it literally gives us new perspectives within the house. The Service ART team handled the statics, planning and execution in no time – everything worked out exactly as we had hoped. Projects with HUF are a promise of quality in every respect: thoughtfully planned, punctual and executed to perfection. Always a pleasure to bring new living ideas to life” says the homeowner, who has lived in the HUF Haus with his family since 2021.
Another major project for ServiceART was the complete modernisation of a 1998 HUF house – transformed for a family of five. The goal was to bring the comfort, energy efficiency and technology up to the latest standards. To achieve this ServiceART installed environmentally friendly heat pumps, photovoltaic modules, with 24 kWp output, and upgraded the entire house to a KNX Smart Home system.
Structural adjustments were also made to create three new children’s rooms with own bathroom on the upper floor, and an enlarged utility room with a separate entrance – ideal for the furry family member Nanouk, the dog. A new lighting and furniture concept by HUF Group company StilART stylishly rounded off the transformation.
“A HUF house can be individually adapted to meet new needs, decades after it was first built. At ServiceART, we offer clients the convenience of continuing to evolve their HUF home - technically, dynamically and aesthetically,” explains Dominik Schuy, Head of ServiceART.
We have found that many homeowners place particular emphasis on summer heat protection, energy efficiency and maximising available space. Service ART develops tailor-made concepts that honour the architectural identity of a HUF house while creating new levels of living comfort.
This ensures that every HUF home remains a place that grows with its residents – open, bright and ready for the future.
