In a classic annexe flat, the main living space is completely separated from that of the additional apartment. This also includes a separate entrance and the possibility of a variable and individual design of the different living spaces. Furthermore, the annexe flat can be easily integrated back into the existing living space as soon as it is no longer to be used for rental.

A further argument for building a house with an annexe flat is that you can use the additional living space both as living space for children from the teenage age and as a guest flat. If you live in tourist areas, you can also use the additional space as a holiday home. A conversion of the annexe flat into an office, a small workshop or a studio are also attractive possibilities.
